Food & Meal Donations

Donations of food and prepared meals help us serve and sustain our guests. For more information, please contact

Camping ready foods are in high demand: pull top soups, chili and other shelf stable items that travel and open easy are welcome. Please drop off items at the Welcome Center on the Barre-Montpelier Road and let the staff know your donation is for the street outreach team.

Gear for Unsheltered Vermonters

This spring and summer, many unsheltered folks will be camping in the woods and sleeping in open, public spaces. You can help to ensure that they have the appropriate gear, clothing, and accessories to withstand the unpredictable Vermont weather and other difficulties that come with living outside.

Gear Needed

Tarps (8×10 & 10×12)
Daypacks
Tents (3- to 6-man-tents ideal, but all sizes helpful)
Lightweight folding cots (for older folks and those with back issues)
Sleeping bags (zero rated preferred)
Sherpa or faux fur minky-type blankets to use as sleeping bag liners
Basic sets of pots, dishes, sporks, can opener  
Camp stoves, BioLite preferred
Battery operated radios (can help fight depression and help folks preserve their phone battery life for emergencies)
AA batteries
Small flashlights
Headlamps

Gift cards to local stores like Walmart, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, Dunkin’ Donuts, and McDonalds
