Shelter Coordinators (FT/PT)

As a Shelter Coordinator with Good Samaritan Haven, you’ll be a key part of our caring team. You’ll help make our shelter safe and welcoming for people who need support finding stable housing. Your work will keep daily operations running smoothly, making sure each guest gets the help they need. You’ll work closely with the Shelter Manager and a dedicated team, all focused on our mission to provide safe shelter with dignity and care.

Full or part time flexible hourly, shelter-based position, hiring for all shifts. $22-24 hourly.

Housing Case Manager (FT)

The Housing Case Manager plays a critical role in assisting guests at Good Samaritan Haven. The Case Manager will meet with guests to identify life priorities and create a plan to achieve these goals, with a primary focus on securing housing and support for successful community living. Secondary support may include recovery assistance and connecting guests to other service partners to enhance their overall well-being and life skills.

This is a full-time, office/shelter-based salaried position.

Seasonal Overnight Shelter Coordinator (FT/PT Seasonal)

Seasonal Overnight Shelter Coordinators help ensure the running of a smooth nightly overflow shelter program in Montpelier. Coordinators help maintain a positive and welcoming shelter environment and assist individuals who have a history of homelessness, mental illness and/or substance use disorder.

Seasonal (Oct 1-May 31), shelter-based, hourly position, hiring for all shifts: 5:30 PM to 11:30 PM and 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. $22-24 hourly.

Social Worker/Crisis Interventionist (FT, Contract)

The Social Worker/Crisis Interventionist will assess and engage with guests/clients of Good Samaritan Haven to provide support, de-escalation, connections, and referrals, as well as direct behavioral health counseling or interventions. This includes working with unhoused individuals using the day space of the Good Samaritan Haven shelter, as well as formal shelter guests. The role encompasses addressing mental, emotional, and substance use/recovery issues, including overuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

This is an 8 month contract position that may be renewed based on funding and a shelter-based salaried position, with some on-call responsibilities.
