Food Program

Good Samaritan Haven is a place where people can be served with dignity in their time of need.

Good Samaritan Haven’s primary charge is providing shelter, stability, safety, and hope to those experiencing homelessness in central Vermont. Our food program is also an essential part of our work, as we strive to provide warm meals and nourishing food to our guests. Housing and food insecurity are intrinsically linked. In 2022, we provided approximately 17,000 meals to the folks we housed in our shelter network.

Our Food Coordinator, Pat Paola, plays a central role organizing food distribution throughout our shelter network. An interfaith group from Barre has been a steadfast supporter of the food program for decades. More recently, we have added some local businesses as regular contributors.

Get involved: Donations of food and prepared meals help us serve and sustain our guests. For more information on how to get involved, please contact our Food Coordinator, Pat Paola, at (802) 479-2294 or [email protected].
