Volunteer With Us

We’re relaunching our volunteer program and we’d love for you to be part of it! We have the following positions available:
Community Meal Providers prepare and donate warm, nourishing meals to one of our four shelter sites in Barre, Barre Town, Berlin, or Montpelier.
Volunteers may cook on their own or gather friends, family, or colleagues to share the experience.
To simplify scheduling and coordination, we’ve created Meal Trains® for each shelter site. Click the link to learn more and sign up to donate to a specific shelter.
We need folks to help with a few Food Program needs, such as:
•Folks who can lead cooking classes and help prepare meals on site
•Folks who can help deliver food to our four locations
We offer two ways to support material donations.
Whether you enjoy communication and coordination or hands-on organizing, there’s a role that fits your skills and availability.
Donations communications and scheduling coordinators
help behind the scenes by responding to donor inquiries, scheduling drop-offs, and coordinating logistics—mostly remotely.
Donations sorting and storage volunteers support in person by sorting, organizing, and preparing donated items for use in our shelters.
Spring & Summer Vegetable Garden Help

Guests and staff have been preparing the garden boxes at the Welcome Center, and are anxiously awaiting planting season!
We can always use some extra hands for the vegetable gardens and other campus landscaping needs.
