Our new wellness program, the Building Hope and Resilience Project, has guests painting, meditating, walking outside, and spending time journaling together. And, they are having a great time doing it!
Special thanks to Katie O’Rourke for leading the acrylic painting sessions. “One guest told me she looks forward to it every week and it’s the best part of her day,” said Katie. “Another guest has shown up regularly and I can see he gained confidence in his abilities and is always very positive.” (You can check out Katie’s website here.)
This program was made possible with funding from a Vermont Health Department Division of Substance Use Programs subgrant, with United Way of Northwest Vermont serving as the Vermont Lead Prevention Organization for Region 1 covering the Barre, Burlington and St. Albans Health Districts.
