We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tanya Crawford-Stempel who served on the Good Sam board from 2020 to 2025, culminating in the role of Board Chair.
Tanya brought more than 25 years of experience in nursing, public health, and community leadership, providing vital guidance and support throughout Good Sam’s arc of emergency COVID response, unprecedented organizational growth, and leadership transition. She also helped organize and participated in vaccine clinics for our guests and staff over the years.
Now, Kathi Partlow steps into the role of Board Chair, bringing more than a decade of experience in housing and a longstanding connection to Good Sam dating back to its early days when it was a single shelter.
Currently the Director of Homeless Services at Downstreet Housing & Community Development, Kathi is committed to leading the organization as we enter our fifth decade of service. She is excited to support the opening of our new shelter in Montpelier, help strengthen systems guiding our growing organization, and advance our vision, which is rooted in connection, compassion, and shared responsibility.
We also want to thank outgoing board members, Martin Hahn and Dan Krymkowski for their commitment and service on our Board of Directors.
Martin Hahn served as Chair, Treasurer, and Member since 2021 and Dan Krymkowski served as Secretary and Member since 2023. Both Martin and Dan helped steer the organization through unprecedented growth and we are grateful for their time, skills, and insight.
We wish Tanya, Martin, Dan succesful next chapters and extend open arms to Kathi!
