GiftDrive (giftdrive.org) was born out of a University of Vermont dorm room when three students, Logan Vaughan, Miro Gohacki, and Corinne Atwell, saw how difficult it was for local nonprofits to collect in-kind donations.
“We recognized the need to simplify giving, making it as easy as online shopping, so we created a free platform where anyone can easily purchase and donate items that organizations truly need, said co-founder Logan Vaughan. “What started as a small idea to help our community has grown into a tool supporting nonprofits across Vermont.”
Good Sam staff collaborated with the students—an opportunity that came to us through the recommendation of Megan Bridges from United Way Northwest Vermont—to create a custom giving platform dedicated around our needs for winter survival gear for folks sleeping outside this season.
And, just in time as we prepare for the winter season!
