We are thrilled to announce that Good Samaritan Haven’s recovery shelter has advanced to full certification as a recovery-oriented shelter through the Vermont Alliance for Recovery Residences.
This achievement makes us the only hybrid shelter-recovery residence in Vermont—a distinction we’re incredibly proud of! This model is an important step forward in how we support individuals in recovery and serves as a blueprint for the future of our community.
What makes our model unique? Unlike traditional recovery residences, we do not charge rent. This approach ensures that individuals just out of rehab can focus on stabilizing their lives and reintegrating into society without the immediate pressure of financial burdens.
