Hello I’m Rick DeAngelis, Director of the Good Samaritan Haven. I want to give you – our family of supporters, an update on how COVID-19 is impacting our work and ask you to consider making a donation to help.
But before I do that, I want to express my sincere desire that you and your loved ones are safe.
Beginning March 10th our staff has worked around the clock to prepare and make sure that our guests and staff are safe. Working in partnership with the State of Vermont, local officials and others, we have put into place procedures for hygiene, environmental cleaning and increased social distancing within our cramped congregate environments.
My staff has worked tirelessly and courageously. I am so proud of them.
The financial impact of this effort on Good Sam has been enormous with increased costs for staffing, sick time, transportation, food, supplies and many other costs.
Will you make a donation to help? Within weeks, each of us will receive $1200 in federal assistance. Please consider donating all or a portion of the $1,200 to help Good Sam help those who don’t have a home.
