National Life Foundation Donates $7500 to Good Samaritan Haven’s Emergency Shelter Program

Good Samaritan Haven would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the National Life Foundation for its recent $7500 donation to our Emergency Shelter Program. This funding is essential to allow the organization to continue to provide shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Central Vermont.

Good Samaritan Haven depends on community support to operate the shelter and to provide services to help our guests move on to stable housing. The organization has historically relied heavily on state and  federal grants to operate the shelter, but this source of funding decreased significantly this year.

With the help of the National Life Foundation Good Samaritan Haven will be able to preserve existing emergency shelter capacity this year. Since its inception in 2006, the goal of the National Life Group Foundation is to do good in the communities in which its lives and works by supporting nonprofit and educational organizations.
