Rusty Dewees: The Logger and Friends! Comedy and Music Benefit for Good Samaritan Haven

oct-1-barre-elks-final-web[BARRE, VT – October 5, 2016] Rusty Dewees: The Logger! will perform a benefit show for Good Samaritan Haven homeless shelter on Saturday, October 1st at the Barre Elks Club. Enjoy a fun-filled night of comedy and music, while helping end homelessness in Central Vermont.

Doors open at 7:00PM and the show begins at 7:30. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Next Chapter Books, Hunger Mountain Coop, Espresso Bueno, or at the door.

Rusty Dewees is one of the region’s most well known entertainers. He will be joined by Emmy winner, Peter Wilder on guitar; IN-Cahoots, Barre’s Barber Shop Quartet; and fiddler Roland Clark. All proceeds benefit Good Samaritan Haven, Central Vermont’s only homeless shelter.

Good Samaritan Haven’s shelter operates at or near capacity on a nightly basis. The shelter provides basic needs and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness in the community. During the winter months, Good Samaritan Haven also operates a seasonal overflow shelter at the Hedding United Methodist Church in Barre.
